kidnapped California families, which included a baby of 8 months deceased the sheriff claims.

The four bodies of the family that was missing in California family were discovered dead on Wednesday night following the abduction of an unidentified unidentified suspect who abducted the family members at gunpoint in the early hours of this week, police said.

Merced County Sheriff Vern Warnke confirmed the finding at a press conference on Wednesday night in which he said: “Our worst fears have been confirmed.”

The family has been missing since Monday. Authorities have said that they had been “taken against their will” from a California-based business in Central Valley. A suspect was placed in custody on Tuesday after lunch, in a press release, authorities from the Merced County Sheriff’s Office announced. The incident led to a huge search and appeals to the public for assistance.

“There are no words to describe the anger I feel, the senseless of this incident,” Warnke said to reporters. “I said it earlier, there’s a special place in hell for this guy, and I mean it.”

Some of the family members were eight-month-old Aroohi Dheri, and her 27-year-old mother Jasleen Kaur. She also has her father of 36 years, Jasdeep Singh; and her 39-year-old uncle Amandeep Singh, according to the Merced County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives were informed by a victim’s ATM card was used by the bank located in Atwater, a town of a few hundred residents just eight miles to the west of Merced, according to the sheriff’s office. Later that day the sheriff’s office identified Jesus Manuel Salgado, 48 was a suspect in the investigation. significance during the probe.

The charges against Salgado are not yet announced. Salgado is currently in hospital in critical health after police say he tried to commit suicide.

The video released by the authorities is of Jasdeep Singh arriving at a location using a brown van. He was and then Amandeep Singh which arrived with a dark pickup. Authorities read the surveillance footage at a news conference.

This video captures a mask-wearing suspect walking south on California State Route 59 toward the business, police said. Jasdeep Singh left the premises and then made contact with the man prior to the two started walking towards the building once more according to the sheriff’s office.

The footage shows the suspect shooting a gun while he was entering the building. No cameras were on the premises.

The suspect was seen leaving the building along with Jasdeep Singh, and Amandeep Singh, who was secured by zip-ties, according to authorities. The suspect then threw them in the back of a truck and fled in the truck.

The video then shows the suspect re-entering the shop after which he returns to his truck along with Jasleen Kaur and her 8-month-old Aroohi Dheri Both were free of any restraint. The truck left the scene and headed towards the southbound highway.

Officials are still looking for the motive behind the abduction, Warnke said Wednesday. However, Warnke says he believes that the motive might be financial, and there’s no evidence to suggest that the incident could have been an act of terrorism.

Investigators believe that Salgado could not have been acting on his own.

“I fully believe there was at least one other person involved but we don’t have any evidence to support that, just the circumstances surrounding this,” Warnke stated.

Prior to being arrested, Salgado attempted to take himself, the sheriff’s office stated. He was sedated in a medical facility and was critically ill at the time of his arrest on Wednesday afternoon, Warnke said, adding that the detectives believe the investigation will be swifter once Salgado is alert and awake.

“Hopefully we can get some answers,” he stated.

Salgado was previously found guilty of robbery in the year 2015, Warnke said. In the meantime, Merced County Sheriff’s Office is working with the California Department of Justice and the FBI to investigate the incident.
